  1. CMap from IHMC is a spectacular example of a program whose use reinforces 21st century skills. At first blush it is a concept mapping tool (like Inspiration), but with important differences, including the ability for folks to collaborate on maps, post their maps on CMap servers, etc. This communication capability catapults this free product way beyond anything people are doing with Inspiration. It runs well on Windows, Macs and Linux, and was created by Novak, one of the creators of concept mapping.
